Angela Khanali Mutsotso
Angela supports the policy team with its energy transition program.
Prior to joining the EITI, Angela worked as a Global Policy Associate at the Queen Mary Global Policy Institute (GM GPI), where her research focused on the energy transition, climate change and COVID-19 response in Africa. She has since been appointed a Policy Fellow at the QM GPI. Angela has five years of experience working in policy and legislative development in the extractives sector. She previously worked within the civil society, where she focused on upstream petroleum legislative and policy development, access to information and contract disclosure and led research on the environmental and social impacts in Kenya’s oil and gas sector.
Angela is set to graduate with an LLM in Energy and Natural Resource Law from the Queen Mary University of London. She is interested in researching the role of the environmental and social conditions imposed by international financial institutions in the evolution of national social and environmental laws, policies and practice.
