Christina is acting Regional Director for the 14 Francophone countries in West and Central Africa and responsible for the oversight of EITI implementation in the region. She supports five countries directly: Guinea, Mali, Mauritania, Niger and Senegal.
Christina has been with the EITI since early 2014. She's worked on results-oriented work plan development and monitoring, evaluation and learning (MEL) frameworks to make sure the EITI is relevant, effective and efficient in the country context.
She is particularly interested in supporting countries in finding smart ways to collect and publish high quality information (like the beneficial ownership declaration form for high quality data collection). She supports countries finding ways for real-time reporting from the source (systematic disclosure) - making routine publication the new normal and part of accountable governance.
Prior to joining the EITI, Christina lobbied for clean energy and climate protection on behalf of companies at swisscleantech in Switzerland.
She holds a M.A. in International Affairs from the University of St.Gallen (HSG). She has worked and studied in France, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Canada and Germany. Christina speaks English, French, German and Norwegian.
